Rachel O’Donnell - Instructor

Originally from San Diego, California, Rachel started taking Irish dance lessons at the age of 4 under TCRG Michelle Malone-Chiles. In addition, she received many lessons from world champion ADCRG Liam Harney. In the Western Region, she competed as a soloist working her way up to champion level.  She also competed in several 8-hand teams in the Western US Regional Oireachtas.

In 2014, her family moved to Knoxville, TN. Wanting to continue her Irish dance career, she traveled to Nashville for lessons and continued to train and compete at the champion level under TCRG Mary Moran. With the NISD troupe, she has performed at various venues including The Nashville Symphony, Grande Ole Opry, Clayton Center for the Arts, and The Carolina Opry. She has also had the pleasure of dancing alongside The Chieftains, Ric Blair, and Cara Butler & the Pilatzke Brothers.

Rachel began teaching in 2020 and is currently in the process of obtaining her TCRG.
